Rhythm & Rhyme

Wander in Wonder Walks

for passionate women seeking refuge through nature, community and self-care.

Gather with us to embrace wintering through practices of mind, body and spirit.

Are you resistant to winter or are perhaps less than enthused by its offerings?

OR, maybe you like winter’s invitation to hibernate but still crave community and fresh air activities.

Either way, you are invited to join us on our inaugural Winter Wander in Wonder Walks, where you will bond more deeply to yourself, our Keystone community, and the magic of the surrounding world.

Imagine experiencing the meaning of a mindfully spent hour and the power it can harness for feeling grounded & whole.

On these walks you will make memories and connections that will forever change the way you move through your life.

Each Winter Wander will include gathering as a community as we walk together, embodying the fact that we share the same ground and live our lives under the same sky

We will walk with reverence and curiosity, moving mindfully as a collective along these paths.

Practices and prompts will be offered along the way to enhance the ordinary experience of taking a walk.

You may never approach a simple walk the same way again!

Why wander in winter?

  • During these Walks you will connect with yourself, each other, and the earth through the power of our individual & collective steps.

  • We will gather in a playful, light-hearted atmosphere of curiosity and wonder, as we take the simplicity of a walk and turn it into the magic of connection.

  • We will walk from our hearts in rhythm with the collective pulse while honoring the poetry & rhyme of embodiment.

  • You will leave these walks feeling a deeper relationship and energetic support of community and nature.

  • You may feel the surge of happy hormones as they course through opening channels, boosting your mood, and leaving unnecessary stress by the wayside.  You will trust your senses as they invite the world in, dropping breadcrumbs to follow for future investigation.

Walk Overview

(Rain or Shine)

  • Crossing the Canal

Threshold Practices honoring the 12 Days of Christmas as we reimagine these classics through the diverse & loving hearts of our Keystone Community. We will mindfully travel together down Canal Street, sipping on hot cider as we use our senses to truly experience the magic of the season. The magic has little to do with dates on the calendar, and everything to do with how we show up any day of the year.

12.21.2022 Location: Canal Street in Yardley

  • Wander in Wonder

This will be our Mindful Outdoor Experience. Wandering in nature is an invitation to open the conversation with the living earth. Wisdom emanates from the trees and lands upon us. Let the trees do the talking, just listen. They create the space for answers within us to surface.

Beneath the level of conscious awareness sauntering in nature signals the body to rest and relax.

    12.28.2022 Location: Five Miles Wood

Walk Overview

  • Get out of Town (tow the line)

As we walk the Tow Path, we will do our signature pausing to behold the wonders that surround us. We will also share some history and stories of the tow path, to provide a fresh perspective. When we travel from our present time, history allows us a brief respite, like a mini vacation from the mundane. For some reason, what was mundane in the past takes on a certain romance. Can we embody the romance of the times in which we live?

1.4.2023 Location: Tow Path from Black Rock Rd. to Ferry Street in Yardley

  • Time to go Yin (from the cold)

Preparing for the energy of hibernation, we will look at the elements of Yin & winter that nourish us and invite us to go inside ourselves. As we wander, we will discover the nooks and crannies that provide shelter, warmth, and safe spaces and in surrender, move deeper into the mystery.

Walk will conclude with a fire circle and a hot beverage.

1.11.2023 Location: Yardley Neighborhood. Address will be shared in your welcome note.

There are a ton of benefits from walking in colder weather. In addition to being good for our overall health, benefits include but are not limited to:

Footnotes

Nature is our guide.  We gather in nature, to better connect to ourselves, each other, and the natural world.  Our time together will be shared by all who look up at the same sky, reminding us that we are all connected.

Theresa & Sherry recognize the importance of retreat as a means of self-care and have the gifts & skills to guide others as they seek refuge.  Their collective mission includes healing from the origin of our stories, connecting individuals to the collective, and leaving no trace.
